Research archive on Bhutan refugees

In 2023 Cornell University Library in the US kindly gave a home to my collection of research materials relating to Bhutanese refugees. Cornell seemed like a good place for this material, given the large number of Bhutanese who were resettled from the camps to the USA. Please see below for a list of the books and materials in this collection. Anyone who wishes to consult the papers and documents should contact the archivist Greory Green on ghg4@cornell.edu.

Book donations

Over the course of my academic career, I accumulated a very large collection of books, journals and documents in both English and Nepali.  Many of the Nepali books, and the books of poetry, fiction, essays in particular, had been kindly gifted to me by their authors. When I emptied out my SOAS office  in 2020, I was not able to accommodate even one tenth of this material in my home study, so the majority of these books spent several years packed away in boxes in the attic of my house in Tring.  Then in 2024 I donated a substantial chunk of this collection to two libraries: the Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya in Patan, and the Bodleian Library in Oxford.   Please see below for a list of the books donated to MPP.  I will post a list of the 500+ books donated to the Boldleian Library when the work of cataloguing them is complete.
